BluErrow was founded in 2022 by Ernst, Ronald and Ward with a strong belief that the increasingly volatile energy market needs sustainable management. All BluErrow founders have been working with major companies in the European energy sector in leadership roles, coaching capacity and hands-on operational work. Their involvement has been wide-ranging and they are ready to leverage this experience with their clients in order to prepare them for a more financially sustainable future.

Ernst van den Broek

Ernst has over 20 years’ experience in the financial industry and works as an interim counsel in the Netherlands. He has worked for ING Financial Markets, NV Nuon Energy Trade & Wholesale, Rabobank International, ABN AMRO, AFM, Ministry of Finance and various other banks within both their legal and credit departments. He studied law at the University of Amsterdam and holds an MBA degree from the NIMBAS-Bradford Graduate School of Management. He has broad experience in the field of financial and commodity trading including the negotiation of ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, GMRAs, GMSLAs and EFETs. He provides training on all these documents and is a fluent English speaker.

Ward van Meel

Ward is a  Credit Risk Consultant with over 15 years of experience, of which 11 years in the European energy sector. After having spent 8 years in Germany and Switzerland he is happy to have the Netherlands as a base again. He has worked for companies such as BHP, Vattenfall, EDF Tradin and, BKW; bringing a vast experience in risk analysis, agreement negotiations and strategic planning. Having worked in both operational and managerial roles, he is a strong communicator who knows his audience. The key words that characterize him the most are innovative, people-oriented and analytical.

Ronald van Megen

Ronald is an experienced credit and risk manager who has worked more than 30 years for various multinational companies and industries in Europe. He is results driven strategic/practical (fit for purpose) and worked in several corporate and line positions to overlook and manage international credit risk operations. The last 20 years plus experience in managing and advising credit energy and commodity companies on a European and global scale, including standard contract negotiation and Power Purchase Agreements. Ronald is also a trainer (and coach) on credit risk for the energy and commodity industry and part-time lecturer and guest speaker.
